With a background as a forest vegetation researcher primarily with the Pacific Northwest Research Station, Brent Borden (owner & founder) of Bellingham Foodscapes has gained knowledge about how our ecosystems thrive in the wild--plant communities, soil and light conditions, growth forms--and how urban/suburban gardeners can implement these practices to their backyard ecosystems.

 

When Brent was lucky enough to purchase his first home, he couldn't have accomplished the first season's bounty of his very own food forest without the help of friends and family. Our goal at Bellingham Foodscapes is to be the helping hand to make your native plant community and food-growing dreams a reality.
